Atlanta, GA – Greenlink Analytics is pleased to announce the promotion of Angelica "Jellie" Chavez Duckworth to Chief Impact Strategist.
Since joining Greenlink Analytics in January 2022, Jellie has been instrumental in expanding the organization's reach and impact in clean energy and climate justice research and policy. In her new role as Chief Impact Strategist, she will support Greenlink's CEO in researching the clean energy ecosystem, cultivating funding opportunities, creating growth strategies, and envisioning and tracking environmental justice impacts across the clean energy sector.
Under Jellie's direction as Director of Community Initiatives, Greenlink's social science department has flourished, guiding participatory research and community-driven policy processes that center communities disproportionately burdened by the climate crisis. Her work on the Greenlink Equity Map (GEM) has established it as a vital tool for visualizing socioeconomic and climate data, enabling decision-makers nationwide to advance equity in their climate planning.
"Jellie's commitment to environmental justice and her expertise in bridging quantitative analysis with community-centered approaches have been transformative for Greenlink," said Matt Cox, PhD, CEO of Greenlink Analytics. "Her promotion recognizes her outstanding contributions and positions us to deepen our impact in the years ahead."
An environmental sociologist with extensive experience in community organizing and mixed-data research, Jellie brings an intersectional, Earth-centered framework to her work at the nexus of energy security, affordable housing, and economic justice. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Geography and Environmental Engineering at Johns Hopkins University as a Jensen Scholar and Fellow.
Jellie's recent projects include developing community accountability frameworks for the Georgia Environmental Protection Division, supporting disaster-vulnerability mapping for Energy Trust of Oregon, and leading research to advance building codes through the Building a Resilient and Efficient Southeast Collaborative.
Prior to Greenlink, Jellie founded LivZero, a participatory research firm focused on community-driven climate solutions, and has been recognized with numerous awards for her leadership, including the LISC Missouri Young Champion Award and semi-finalist recognition for the Pinnacle Prize. We congratulate Jellie on this well-deserved promotion!
